About the Label

JNGLI is inspired by the sensual allure of the female form. Fusing streetwear and couture concepts, we create visually striking designs meant to liberate the body’s natural beauty. Our clothing artistically illuminates melanated skin through the use of clean lines and vibrant colors.

About the Designer

JNGLI’s designer Somi G grew up in a liberal South Asian household — where her father was an engineer and her mother an artist. Together, their diverse educational backgrounds enabled Somi to develop both her technical acumen, alongside a keen eye for aesthetic and design.

Somi studied industrial engineering at the University of Michigan. She went on to work for a variety of Fortune 500 companies in consulting, supply chain, finance, and data science. She is currently at Meta (Facebook).

Fashion was always Somi’s way of retaining her individuality and femininity, regardless of what male-dominated industry she was working in.

During the fall of 2022, Somi enrolled part-time at Parsons School of Design, in a dual program for fashion design and fashion business. She launched JNGLI in early 2023 and in doing so, brought together her loves for consumer products, engineering, business, art, and fashion.
